SD: Still got animals?
JB: I still have a Maltese named Butch, and we now have a rabbit that runs free in our backyard. My brother brought his Black Lab named Giggsy from college and he is my favorite right now. My other dog, T-Jag is living in San Antonio with my Dad.
SD: How do you feel about 'The Big Green' at this point?
JB: The Big Green is the film that got me on my feet, so I am thankful for that.
SD: You did a really good job crying in 'Sticks And Stones' I heard you also did a good job crying in 'Speedway Junky'. Was 'Sticks and Stones' a challenge for you at 13/14?
JB: They were both challenging, my mom helps me with my acting. She helped me prepare for both projects, from there I just went with it.
SD: Of all the different kinds of projects you've done- sitcoms, comedies, dramas, thrillers, kids films- what's been your favorite? And what has been your favorite project?
JB: Dramas are my favorite b/c its easier to do more serious roles. As for a favorite, I dont have one in particular. They've all been fun projects in different ways.
SD: Can you tell us anything about the status of 'Speedway Junky' and 'Held for Ransom'?
JB: Last I heard is "Speedway" has been sold and may be distributed, "Held..." I hear is being looked at by New Line. But this is just what I've heard. It could change.
SD: Did you have to learn how to ride horses for 'Night Ride Home'? Was that part of the job description?
JB: Yes I did. I had lessons given to me in Oregon where we shot the film.
SD: What do you keep busy with these days?
JB: I still surf a lot and hang out with friends.
SD: Tell us how you look- height, weight, hair, shoe size, eye color.
JB: Brown eyes, 5' 11", size 12 shoe, 155 pounds, and blonde hair.
SD: Who in entertainment do you hang out with?
JB: Mostly actors. I have several friends on that new show "Opposite Sex."
SD: What's your favorite local thing to do?
JB: Surfing.
SD: What kind of music do you listen to? And, how do you feel about country music?
JB: I like country ok, but I listen mostly to alternative and rap.
SD: What kind of car do you drive?
JB: A black F150 Sport. I supercharged it and just basically souped it up.
SD: Do you own a boat?
JB: I did, but sold it last month.
SD: Do you still surf?
JB: All the time.
SD: Because I was recently reading the interviews you did WAY back when, can you tell me what'd be your idea of the perfect date?
JB: Anything can be a perfect date as long as both people have a great time and enjoy each others company.
SD: And what'd be your vision of the perfect girl?
JB: A sensitive, funny, beatiful girl with a big heart.
SD: Six Flags still the greatest place on earth?
JB: Went to Magic Mountain the other day... (note: 6 Flags Magic Monutain).
SD: Do you have a preferred color?
JB: Forest Green
SD: Do people ever stop you on the street and recognize you?
JB: Once in a while I get recognized.
SD: Is 'Stand By Me' still your favorite film (if not, feel free to elabrate)?
JB: I have a lot of favorites, "Hurly Burly", "Point Break", "The Natural." "Stand by Me" was definitely good.
SD: Do you ever check out your fans pages online?
JB: I don't. My brother just showed me how recently. So I hope to be able to do that more.
SD: I don't know why it matters, but what's your favorite icecream?
JB: I love ice cream, my fav is Mint Chocolate Chip
SD: Which do you prefer, L.A. or San Antonio?
JB: LA
SD: Was your character in 'Speedway Junky' a challenge for you?
JB: Well, I was well prepared for that role which made it much easier. Also, the people I worked with, like Daryl Hannah, made it a learning experience. I learned a great deal from her. But the hard part was becoming a night owl. We worked mostly at night for that movie so it was hard to adjust to that at first.
SD: What do you miss most about your childhood?
JB: Going to school being with friends. I would have liked to be able to play sports in High School.
SD: Because everyone wants to know, are you currently single?
JB: YES!
SD: Is there any acting/film in your future, or have we seen the last of you with these 2 yet unreleased films-'Speedway Junky' and 'Held for Ransom'?
JB: I did a bit part in the movie "Texas Rangers." I dont know if they changed the name of the movie. James van der Beek plays my older brother, and the film takes place in the 1800's and was shot in Mexico.
