This is where it all began.

The Big Green. 1995. Disney. PG.

One afternoon at the end of soccer practice Jordan's coach mentioned that there were going to be auditions in the area for soccer players to be in a Disney movie. Jordan went to audition hoping for an extra role. He never imagined he'd be a main character in the film...

Jordan played Nick Anderssen. You wouldn't notice him if you weren't looking for him, and you would never hear his character's name if you weren't listening for it. His character's name isn't even used until the last 30 minutes of the movie.

The Big Green is a heartwarming film (gosh, that sounds mushy) about a bunch of Texas kids who are forced to play soccer by their new teacher, Miss Montgomery (Olivia D'Abo)but end up finding that they enjoy it. They work to become the best team in the league.

Sorry I can't offer more criticism. But there isn't much criticism that can be given to Disney films.

Jordan's acting was ammateur, but it was his first film. At times he looked unsure of himself, like he was concerned about mistakes he might make. As far as first works go, while it (obviously) wasn't Oscar worthy, it was a good start, and it allowed Jordan a leg into an industry he may never have even considered.

Jordan Sightings: Jordan is the kid who gets to drive the sheriff's car during the driving lesson scene. And Jordan is the one who misses his goal kick in the big game at the end of the movie.

Final thought: What's with the high-tops?
